Our Story
Hello from The Lavenham Nettle Shop!
This whole journey began with a piece of land in Lavenham — and a lot of nettles. After one sting too many, curiosity took over. What was this plant trying to tell me? A little research soon revealed what an extraordinary, overlooked botanical the humble nettle really is: resilient, nutrient‑rich, and deeply woven into traditional craft and herbal heritage.
That discovery became the spark for something bigger. What started as curiosity grew into a commitment to create gentle, thoughtful, nettle‑inspired products that honour both the plant and the landscape it grows in. Today, we craft a growing range of small‑batch, botanical goods made with care, including:
- Nettle‑infused creams and balms
- Botanical body scrubs and polishes
- Handcrafted soaps
- Nettle candles
- Nettle‑infused oils for topical use
- And many more creations in development, each shaped by the character of this remarkable plant
